DocketEZ is a case-organization and deadline-calculation tool, not a law firm and not a source of legal advice. Deadline calculations are generated from our understanding of published New Jersey and New York statutes, court rules, and filing requirements as of the date noted in the Verification Ledger. Rules change, court interpretations vary, and local practice can differ from the published rule.
You — the licensed attorney or supervised professional using this tool — are solely responsible for independently verifying every date, deadline, fee, and citation against a current primary source (statute, court rule, or official filing authority) before relying on it for any client matter. The Verification Ledger is a workflow aid to help you track that you've done so — it is not itself a substitute for that verification.
DocketEZ is intended for licensed attorneys and the paralegals or staff working under their supervision in New Jersey or New York. By using it, you confirm you're using it in that professional capacity. DocketEZ is built by a paralegal, not a licensed attorney — it is an administrative workflow tool, and nothing about it should be read as legal advice or as attorney work product.
DocketEZ is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocketEZ and its operator are not liable for any missed deadline, malpractice claim, financial loss, or other damages arising from use of this tool, including damages arising from software errors, calculation errors, or data loss. Total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 on the Free plan).
DocketEZ never submits filings to a court, secretary of state, or Surrogate's Court on your behalf. All filings remain your responsibility to prepare and submit through the appropriate channel.
No reverse engineering, no reselling access, and no using the tool to store data you don't have the right to store, including in violation of a client-confidentiality obligation your firm has separately agreed to.
If and when paid plans are introduced, billing terms will be stated on the pricing page at signup; cancel anytime; no refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
We may update these terms or the feature set; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
